You can make it so that you and your friends will be in the same turn, unless you are at war. If you do different teams you can trade with them normally and have whatever relationship you want.
If you set your friends to the same team as you they will be permanent allies. Nothing is different from single player to co op other then you are playing with humansĮverything else can be adjusted in settings.
